OUR BUILDING
The Wang Contemporary occupies a historic building in the heart of Manhattan's Chinatown. Originally constructed in the early 20th century, the space has been thoughtfully restored and adapted to serve as a world-class cultural venue.
With over 10,000 square feet across multiple floors, the building provides flexible exhibition spaces, event venues, and community gathering areas. The architecture seamlessly blends historic character with contemporary design.
OUR FOUNDERS
Founded by Ying Wang, The Wang Contemporary was established with a vision to create a cultural bridge between East and West. Drawing on deep roots in both Chinese heritage and global contemporary art, the foundation seeks to elevate emerging voices and foster cross-cultural dialogue.
Our mission is to support artists who challenge conventions, spark conversations, and create works that resonate across boundaries. Through exhibitions, residencies, and community programming, we champion creativity that moves culture forward.
